Criticism does not go well in relationships, but turning toward one another’s bids for attention, affection, and connection is the glue that holds them together. We all have bad days, when we need extra love and support. Learning to take a step back, not take things personally, ask for clarification, and then have a healthy dialogue is the way to get started.
